Generating renewal proposals

Answers: How do I generate a proposal that compares renewal options against expiring coverage? What goes into it? What's the difference between the renewal and new-business templates? What if something's missing?
What you need on the submission
Quotes: any mix of digital, offline uploads, and the incumbent's renewal quote (uploaded as an offline quote).
Expiring policy: attach it on the Policies tab while creating the submission, or afterwards with + Add Policy in the Policies section of Market Details.
The Renewal template needs the expiring policy. If it isn't attached yet, the proposal dialog offers both ways on: a drop zone to upload it there and then, or a link to switch to New Business and generate without the expiring-policy comparison.
Generating the proposal
Click Generate Proposal from the submission.
Under Choose Template, pick Renewal or New Business.
Select the quotes to include (as many as you want to present) and the expiring policy.
Generate.
Choose Template defaults from the incumbent carrier set when the submission was created, so a renewal submission opens on Renewal.
If something required is missing, the error will tell you what to do.
What is returned
An editable PowerPoint (.pptx) downloads to your machine. The proposal is not saved in the platform — the download is your copy, so file it where your team keeps client deliverables.
The deck contains:
A cover page: the insured's name and the effective date.
A marketing summary: every market approached, grouped into Active quotes and Other Responses, each row giving the market, its quote status, and the response details.
Comparison tables: the expiring policy's coverage and price against each quote, with the incumbent's renewal quote under a column headed (Incumbent) and the expiring policy under one headed (Expiring).
Your agency may use its own proposal template, which can add sections beyond these — an executive summary, per-quote recommendation pages, endorsement and subjectivity detail, or appendix slides such as carrier ratings and disclaimers. Generate a deck to see what your template includes.
